A total team effort gives Brandywine it's first spring victory.
After a long winter layoff, Brandywine was back on the pitch to face Rocky Gorge in the opening contest of the spring season. Rocky Gorge matched up well with Brandywine in the first minutes of play. However, the hard hitting centers coupled with strong forward play from Brandywine soon were too much for Rocky Gorge to handle. A total team effort from all 15 players gave Brandywine the vigor needed to win the match, 50-17.
The club would like the thank Russ McBride, Mike Mingioni, Smed Sharp, Briggs, Brad Weber, Fred Gordon and any other Old Boy that was at our first home match against Rocky Gorge. Special thanks to Joe Myers who set up his grill on what turned out to be a great day both with the weather and on the pitch. We look forward to seeing all the Old Boys out in the future as the club moves forward towards the playoffs.
Brandywine will travel to Media for the latest installment of this bitter local rivalry on March 27th.
