Brandywine traveled to Arlington, VA Saturday to face a very strong NOVA club. BRFC had a chance to take an early lead on penalty points, but was unable to convert. NOVA attacked the Brandywine try line early and often through out the first half, but were held to only seven points due to staunch defense and aggressive tackling.
The second half opened with a NOVA try to give them the 14-0 advantage. On their heels but not reeling, Brandywine issued a relentless attack against the NOVA back line knocking them backwards and crossing the try line for the first time on the day. The celebration was short lived, as NOVA would answer immediately before widening the scoring gap and closing out the match with three more scores. Brandywine falls for the first time this spring, 35-14.
